Specialties in general management and finance also were ranked No. 1 and others in business analytics and marketing were ranked third and fourth, respectively.
The program also was ranked No. 1 among veterans for the second consecutive year.
“At Kelley, our faculty and staff never stop looking for ways to innovate and prepare our graduates for continued success. We are pleased to see this reflected in U.S. News’ No. 1 rankings for the Kelley Direct Online MBA Program and Kelley’s other online master’s degree programs,” said Idalene “Idie” Kesner, dean of the IU Kelley School of Business and the Frank P. Popoff Chair of Strategic Management. “
“The Kelley Direct MBA Program offers students a solid general business foundation plus specialized business majors. Kelley’s Master of Science programs offer important business concentrations, which allow students the ability to gain advanced knowledge in areas where they are already working or build expertise in new areas where they hope to work in the future,” Kesner added. “This No. 1 ranking reinforces what we have long said — regardless of which Kelley online programs students enroll, the educational experience puts them on a path to achieve outstanding career momentum.”
Launched in 1999, Kelley Direct is the original online MBA program from a top-tier business school. It consistently has been ranked at or near the top in program rankings, and it remains innovative in design and how it serves the needs of students. In the past year, the Kelley Direct Online MBA program also was ranked first by the Princeton Review and No. 1 among U.S. schools by QSTop MBA. It was ranked second in the U.S. by the Financial Times.
“Our continued top-ranking performance is a testament to the improvements and innovations that the program constantly seeks, which includes a major revamping our in-residence experiences, the new signature core cohort model curriculum and other career advancement-focused opportunities,” said Will Geoghegan, chair of Kelley Direct Program and clinical associate professor of management and entrepreneurship.
“It is great to see that Kelley Direct is recognized as the premier online MBA degree where we have sought to develop an online experience that doesn’t feel online,” he added. “We are eager to continue to push online boundaries with new in-person immersive and experiential experiences, the new Jellison Studios, new technological applications – all with the goal of continuing to be regarded as the No. 1 online MBA degree.”
Kelley Direct Online MBA students regularly interact with faculty, both in and out of the classroom. Students are assigned an academic coach and a career coach, with every student required to work with their coaches at various points in the program. Students typically take two years to complete their degree.
Soon, students will benefit from the new $10 million Brian D. Jellison Studios. The immersive, state-of-the-art studios will enhance the delivery of course content and provide an even more dynamic experience, with faculty and students being together virtually as if they were in an in-person classroom.
